Cosalt Aberdeen and Lowestoft offer lifting equipment supply, hire (both branches hold a large stock of hire equipment), repair, examination and testing services offshore and on shore. For on/offshore inspection & testing our engineers are all fully qualified and have LEEA based competency portfolios as well as the required NDT/Offshore certification.
Our Aberdeen brand has extensive indoor storage facilities where client owned equipment is stored. This enables equipment to be held ready for call off or repaired/certified as requested, depending on client requirements. We also have 8 acres of outdoor storage space.
For proof loading we have two 80 tonne vertical test rigs which allow us to carry out proof load testing with the highest standard of accuracy and safety available to the industry. Proof load testing can be carried out to a capacity of 600 tonnes with our horizontal testing facilities.
Technical Support Office
We carry out the manufacture, hire and repair of all marine and mooring equipment. Our Technical Support office is based at the Bridge of Don in Aberdeen, this Department provides clients with the peace of mind no matter what the question, or when it is asked, a solution will be found. The department encompasses QHSE, Technical issues such as lifting plans and the development of written schemes, offshore support services and the development of information solutions. We also provide training services to our clients. These courses are specifically developed to ensure their direct relevance to your operations and workforce and the personnel to receive the training.

Independent Competent Person Service
Currently we provide the independent competent person service to several of our major clients. It means that we take full responsibility for all lifting related matters from LOLER requirements to the development of written schemes, lifting plans and risk assessments. We have been invited to give a paper on this at the International Cranes Conference in Stavanger for the last three years because of our expertise in the area.
Cosalt Norway
At Cosalt Offshore Norge AS we undertake inspections, testing, servicing and recertification together with inspections on site on or offshore. We have large areas inside and outside available for storage of clients equipment enabling them to handle large shipments of goods for service/inspection. Within this area, we supply Web-based solutions that help our customers keep an eye on their equipment, checking its status and documentation and monitoring inspection schedules.
We also provide rental equipment to clients comprising of rigging containers, buoys/flats, spooling machines, winches and general lifting equipment. We manufacture and supply lifting slings and lifting, towing and mooring equipment.
We are a member of the International Ship Supplier Association enabling us to supply anything you may require with regard to deck stores. Keeping a large stock and having an extensive network of suppliers means we can react efficiently to any requirement you may have.
