Event used to promote Cosalt’s capability

26 June 2008

Cosalt will be promoting its growing international capability at the world's top maritime industry trade fair in its "home town" of Hamburg.

The leading maritime safety services business in the EU has its German operation based in the seaport and will be displaying its range of life saving, rescue and fire-fighting products at SMM 2008, taking place between September 23-26.

The expanding company has 25 port locations in the North Sea and Mediterranean, 19 of which are liferaft and lifejacket service stations.

Said Cosalt international sales director Kevin Robertson: "This is the largest commercial marine exhibition in the world. We will be particularly promoting our growing 'International' presence, to expand our servicing offering to the marine market."

Cosalt will display its range of life saving equipment, including rafts, lifejackets, immersion suits, fire-fighting equipment and rope, and its servicing capabilities on rafts, lifeboats and fire systems. New products will include the Cosalt Personnel Recovery Device (CPRD).

"The last SMM in 2006 was successful in promoting our company and products, since when we have grown in both geographic presence and magnitude," Mr Robertson pointed out.

That growth included the acquisition of the marine safety business of the Belgian-based Bofort Group, a rival exhibitor in 2006, with operations in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy.

Cosalt Germany's general manager Ralf-Thomas Rapp said: "For Cosalt Germany it is very important to have the world's number one shipping exhibition in Hamburg, as customers from all over the world will visit us here in our home town."

Visitors will be welcomed to the Cosalt stand, B1.OG.410, at SMM 2008 which is held at the Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH, centrally located in the heart of Hamburg.

The exhibition opens at 9.30am and closes at 6pm on each of the four days.
