Cosalt is expanding into the world famous Govan Shipyard in Glasgow.

Area Sales Manager Scotland, David Young, said that the addition of Assembly Tools and Solutions had opened up new opportunities for the development of the business.

"We will manage all the tool requirements and lifting equipment for BAE Systems Marine at Govan," he added.

The new premises will officially open on 13th June.

BAE Systems and the VT Group are set to build two new aircraft carriers in a £4bn deal with the Ministry of Defence.

The 65,000-tonne carriers HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales are due to enter service in 2014 and 2016.

Work will be carried out in Portsmouth, Barrow-in-Furness, Glasgow and Rosyth.
