Cosalt Appoints Specialist To Look After SPM Market

Cosalt has appointed Carine De Weirdt as Product Sales Manager to look after its Single Point Mooring (SPM) and offshore rope business. The move will help Cosalt expand its presence in this highly competitive and specialist rope market.
In her new role Carine will focus on servicing key accounts in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, while developing Cosalt's expanding product range in partnership with specialist wire rope manufacturer Bridon. Cosalt can supply complete SPM systems and associated hardware, like chafe chains, pick-up ropes and load monitoring equipment.
Based in Antwerp, Carine has been with Cosalt for two-and-a-half years and previously worked on the marine side of the company's rope business. Before joining Cosalt she spent seven years with major European rope manufacturer BEXCOropes where she gained a wealth of experience and knowledge of specialist rope applications in their offshore department.

Carine, who is married with two children, has been involved in commercial sales throughout her career. It is great to be back working on SPM systems. It is a market I feel very comfortable with and this new role gives me the opportunity to use my experience and knowledge to the full."
