Caring for the environment – Trust in Cosalt
Cosalt is a modern, ethical and dynamic company. Caring for the environment is an integral part of our business strategy. We endeavour to achieve a high standard of environmental performance and to make a positive contribution to society through our products.
It is our policy to comply with environmental legislation, regulations and other codes of practice adopted by the company and plan ahead for future requirements.
At Cosalt we monitor, evaluate and continuously improve our environmental performance while responding to the needs and concerns of local communities.
We strive toward sustainability, balancing today’s needs with those of the future and minimising any adverse environmental impacts of our activities. Our aim is to conserve resources by reducing waste and by recycling of materials wherever this is appropriate and economically practicable.
Discrimination in the workplace, in any form, is unacceptable and, in most cases, is also unlawful. We have therefore adopted an Equal Opportunities Policy to ensure that all job applicants and employees are treated fairly without favour or prejudice. We are committed to applying this policy through all areas of employment.
At Cosalt we are also committed to providing and maintaining a working environment and practices which are safe, without risk to health and afford due consideration to the welfare of employees and other persons who are or may be affected by Company activities.
Cosalt is a fully ethical trading company. The principles adopted by Cosalt International Ltd and all its subsidiaries are based on the International accepted standards set out in the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code of Labour Standards.
We expect that suppliers and their sub-contractors will be able to demonstrate that the above policy is being adhered to. Suppliers and their sub-contractors should also endeavour to distribute this policy across their businesses and to promote awareness understanding amongst their employees.
